     Windermere Country Club Homes for sale in Cumming Georgia. Windermere golf club is like its own little city, started about 8 years ago homes started on th West end of the community, they have been working East ever since and it still is not complete. To date there are over 1000 homes completed in fast growing Forsyth County. There is a 13 acre village center, walking trails, plenty of green space, aquatic center, tennis courts, basketball, and more.  The Davis Love III designed golf course winds through the subdivision blending in nicely with surroundings.  Initially opened as public, the club is now semi-private. There is a great deal of diversity with Muirfild garden condo style homes up to million dollar estate homes.  As the community was built out, different builders took sections of the community and branded it with thier style and price range.  The Cumming, Georgia area has become increasingly popular with its affordable homes, good schools, low tax base, and diverse communities.      Located in central Forsyth County in the city of Cumming Polo Fields Golf And Country Club.  The course was designed by Joe Lee and opened in 1989.  This private course has lots of water in play as it meanders through the community, we particularly like the back nine with its diversity.  It has a wonderful club house, we have attended many functions there, it is always a favorite.  There are 10 tennis courts and a junior olympic size pool.  This is a very family friendly neighborhood and we have sold multiple homes here.  Initially Polo Dr which a circular street was the main center of attention as the focal point of Country Club living. As time went on, off shoot streets were built out as the community expanded.  This leaves the Club having a unique blend of established and newer construction.  Each of the sections has its own brand, stately, traditional, craftsman, southern, they're are all here. Schools are outstanding and Forsyth County is one of the fastest growing in the United States and there really is a polo field there! Prices are from $300,000 to $2,400,000.

     Designed by the renowned Jack Nicklaus, the Laurel Springs golf course opened in 1998.  Located in thriving South East Forsyth County, this where you go for exclusive gated Country Club living.  Lots of bunkers on this well manicured course as it winds through the middle of the subdivision with trees and water in play.  As with most Nicklaus courses it is very player friendly and there are varied levels of membership available and lots of planned activities.  The community itself is huge, approximately 800 homes, many of a traditional style.  Fun to drive through the main gate where construction began and as you follow the main street you notice the subtle difference in style as years went on. A family friendly neighborhood with an extensive amenity package. The homes are predominately on 1/2 to 1 acre lots and are available with 4, 5, and 6 bedrooms Priced at $400,000 to $1,000,000+ many of the homes have finished terrace levels.

     Designed by Arthur Hills, Olde Atlanta Golf Course opened in 1993.  Nestled in the hills in the city of Suwanee in South Forsyth County.  Access is predominately made from Old Atlanta Rd.  You can enter the community and not even see the course, it is that well hidden.  Many of the homes that back to the fairways are also well hidden, except for hill tops.  Although a semi-private course, you can join Canongate Golf Clubs which will gain access to many metro Atlanta courses including Windermere which also is in Forsyth County.  The community straddles Chattahoochee River and has a rolling terrain. These type Clubs are becoming increasingly more popular as Fulton County to the South is quite pricey for Country Club life.  Homes were built by Centex in the 1990's whom still is building in Atlanta.  Most of the homes are of a traditional style with brick/stucco fronts and accents, the community has established nicely and shows well.  Amenites include clubhouse, two swimming pools, six tennis courts, an entertainment pavilion for our many social activities, a basketball court and a children's playground.  Homes are available with 4, 5, and 6 bedrooms. Priced at $300,000 to $600,000. 

     Saint Marlo Country Club Homes for sale in Cumming Georgia.  In South East Forsyth County is Saint Marlo Country Club.  Designed by Dennis Griffiths and opening in 1995.  Rolling terrain with some elevated tees this course follows its rolling terrain nicely.  St Marlo is a gated community with an Olympic size pool, lighted tennis courts, and always with special events planned for the neighborhood.  This is as diverse a community in Country Club homes architecture as you will ever see.  We personally know 3 different builders whom have sold homes there and we have no idea how many more builders there are.  Although initially the homes were primarily a traditional type, construction now is extravagant stately homes and even some craftsman style.  As Forsyth County is one of the fastest growing in the United States a pretty safe bet to look here.  Prices range from $500,000 to $3,000,000. 

     Hampton golf course opened in 2000 and was designed by Clyde Johnston.  This is a very affordable golf community in North central Forsyth County.  The front nine is fairly tight and to score well you need a good score there.  Back nine opens up a bit more.  Many of the holes have a must carry from the tee box.  You can reserve a tee time or just walk on and very resonably priced! There has been a few different builders there over the years, Hedgewood was one of the initial builders.  There is still construction going on as they keep adding to the community.  Driving into the community 2 of the back nine holes parallel the road, very scenic.  The street stops at a rotary where the amenity area with a stately building and pool is , from here there are different spokes of the road to different areas and the club house and a yester year style tennis courts. Terrain for the homes varies greatly hilly, flat, heavily wooded and pasture.  Mostly 1/3 to 3/4 acre lots and predominatly traditional design. Mostly available with 3, 4, 5, and 6 bedrooms. Folks think you are kidding when you say it but that is the location of Riverstone Plantation in East central Fprsyth County.
